The Ataulfo Mangoe from Soconusco holds the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) of the same name with the following characteristics:

It has an average weight of 350 grams; an average composition of 69% pulp, 19% peel and 8.5% bone or seed, the pulp is firm in consistency with very little fiber content, with a sweet flavor and low acidity, with a firm, yellow peel and resistant to post harvest management.
